VISIONFEST FILMS NOW ON DVD
During the past thirteen years, VISIONFEST has had the good fortune of being able to showcase some of the finest films that American indie cinema has to offer. Our commitment to 'promoting domestic filmmaking' has ensured that our annual Independent Vision Showcase has been rich with quality works, many which have gone on to triumph at so many other film festivals and/or in the commercial market worldwide. But rather than tooting our own horn, we invite you to seek out these films as they become available on DVD... (A small sampling is available here below)
Please continue to visit this page for updates and thank you for supporting VISIONFEST, the Domani Vision Film Society, and the continuing and growing affluence of independent U.S. cinema.
Films are listed in order of their availability on DVD, with the most recent titles first...
STUCK! - Steve Balderson (NR; 96mins)
Steve Balderson's homage to film noir women-in-prison films faithfully re-produces the genre with a modern, tongue-in-cheek twist. Expect all the hallmarks of a classic prison movie complete with a wrongly accused heroine, hard boiled dames, diabolical alliances, forbidden love, cat-fighting cuties, a sadistic warden, and corrupt prison guards. It stars Karen Black, Susan Traylor, Jane Wiedlin, Mink Stole, Stacy Cunningham, Starina Johnson and Pleasant Gehman.

CLEAN - Nyle Cavazos Garcia (Not Rated; 105 mins)

He is soon chauffeuring the Hollywood elite and finds himself emerged in the dark, seedy underbelly of celebrity: sex, addiction, money, fame, greed, lies, power and betrayal. When his own bad habits return, Maynard is unwillingly led into a downward spiral and slowly realizes that he may be the driver but he's not in control.
Making its North American debut at VISIONFEST 04, the film went on to win 4 Independent Vision awards: Outstanding Achievement in Production, Directing, Editing, and Acting, Male Lead category (Paolo Coscardo), as well as countless other awards at Rhode Island International Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, Park City Music & Film, Sacramento International, and the Los Angeles DIY Film Festival.

GRACE - Paul Solet (R; 84 mins)
Madeline Matheson is eight months pregnant and determined to deliver her unborn child, Grace, naturally. When an accident leaves Grace dead inside her, Madeline insists on carrying the baby's corpse to term. Weeks later, when Madeline delivers, the baby miraculously returns to life... with an appetite.
While this feature length version of GRACE did not play at VISIONFEST, as it had already been picked up for theatrical distribution by the time VF rolled around, the short film version (which is included on the DVD) did play at the 2006 edition, thus we include this deliciously creepy film, which scared audiences at Sundance and many other film festivals, in our line-up.
THE WEDDING BROS. - Marco Ricci & Michael Canzoniero (R; 83 mins)
For the past 5 years, 3 months, and 26 days (not that they're counting), Anthony and Carmine Marconi have been dutifully serving out life sentences in the family carpet business. But a run-in with Lou, a playboy and king of the Long Island wedding video business, leads the brothers to unexpectedly join the outrageously zany world of wedding videography. A mentally unstable boss, wild and crazy brides, and nervous grooms make WEDDING BROS. one event you don't want to miss!
Screened at VISIONFEST 08 under its original title, THE MARCONI BROS., this film won Independent Vision awards for its Production and Production Design and held three completely sold out shows at VF08.
BROKEN - Alan White (R; 97 mins)
Deep in the LA night, Hope confronts all the wrong turns she's made since leaving Ohio and ultimately meets the biggest wrong turn of all in her ex-boyfriend Will, who's determined to win back her love or die trying.
This VF07 opener won Independent Vision awards for its cinematography (Neil Shapiro) and the Jack Nance Breakthrough Performance Award for its star, Heather Graham.
FIRECRACKER - Steve Balderson (NR; 112 mins)
Bold and shocking true-to-life tale of murder in small town Kansas. Set against the stark beauty of Middle America, this astonishing story of abuse, suffering and denial reveals dreams of escape. The inevitable confrontation unleashes the truth concealed behind the pleasant façade of small-town U.S.A.
Boasting the quickest sell out performance in VF history, FIRECRACKER was the first VF film to add additional screenings to the official program and it also went on to win 4 Independent Vision awards: Outstanding Achievement in Production, Cinematography (Jonah Terreano), Acting (Female Lead - Karen Black), and the Domani Vision Award for director, Steve Balderson.
PUT THE NEEDLE ON THE RECORD - Jason Rem (NR; 83 mins)
